So imagine our surprise when the County claimed they’ve saved us $33.7 million!
That’s right—they say millage rate cuts left all this money in our pockets. But the spending numbers tell a different story.
They’re patting themselves on the back for not taking even more of our money—despite ballooning budgets every year.
That’s like a used car dealer bragging about giving you a “discount” after jacking up the sticker price.
Fellow taxpayers – the County didn’t save $33.7 million—we just got fleeced a little slower.
This isn’t fiscal responsibility. It’s smoke, mirrors, and a masterclass in government spin.
