NassauFLDOGE Launches New White Paper Series

Now you can read the facts.

NassauFLDOGE is beginning a new series of fact-based white papers designed to take a closer look at important local government issues, examine the numbers, and ask whether taxpayers are receiving fair and responsible treatment.

Our first white paper examines the City of Fernandina Beach’s proposed stormwater utility fee structure and whether the methodology being used truly reflects the cost and impact individual properties place on the City’s stormwater system.

One of the key issues identified is the distinction between simply measuring impervious surface and determining the actual hydraulic demand placed on City-owned infrastructure—including where stormwater ultimately flows and who owns and maintains the drainage system receiving it.
