NASSAU FL DOGE Recognizes Local Residents Who Care About Their Community. First Up… Mark Schuster

Now you can read the facts.

A Nassau County Voice for Fiscal Truth

NASSAUFLDOGE believes it’s important to recognize local residents who step up and work to make government more transparent and accountable.

First up… Mark Schuster.

Mark has just been appointed to the Board of Directors of Truth in Accounting, a nationally respected organization dedicated to helping the American public understand how government finances really work.

If the name sounds familiar, Schuster is also the author of Destruction of America Through Taxation – Broken America, where he lays out his belief that governments should operate like lean, efficient machines when spending taxpayer dollars.

That philosophy fits perfectly with the mission of Truth in Accounting. Founded in 2002 by Sheila Weinberg, the organization is known for digging deeper than typical government budgets by analyzing pensions, long-term debt, and other long-range obligations that taxpayers ultimately carry.

In short — they help citizens see the real numbers.

Schuster says he has admired the organization for years and is excited to help expand its mission nationwide through a new initiative called Ambassador250, focused on increasing communication, citizen involvement, and cooperation around government financial transparency.

For those of us who care about responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars, it’s great to see someone from Nassau County stepping onto the national stage.

We also encourage readers who believe in honest government accounting to learn more about Truth in Accounting and consider participating in the Ambassador250 effort. The more citizens who understand how government finances really work, the stronger and more accountable our communities will be.

Congratulations, Mark.

Having a local voice advocating for truth and transparency in government accounting is something Nassau County can be proud of.

Hint: Maybe Nassau County and Fernandina Beach governments could speak to Mark and see if he has any ideas to help defray costs???? Just sayin…
